Queen O’Hearts a été un échec avec 39 représentations! Oscar Hammerstein II a écrit la plupart des paroles, et Lewis E. Gensler et Dudley Wilkinson ont collaboré sur la musique (mais parfois l’un ou l’autre était le seul compositeur d’une chanson). Signalons que dans ce musical a débuté Norma Terris, la future célèbre Magnolia dans Show Boat () – son nom est orthographié Norma Terriss.
Queen O’Hearts parlait d’une agence matrimoniale. Nora Bayes a joué Elizabeth Bennett (aucun lien avec le personnage de Jane Austin), qui est la reine des cœurs, dirigeant sa propre agence juste au coin de Trinity Church à New York. Une grande partie de l’intrigue tournait autour de sa tentative de trouver des femmes pour deux frères, Alfred et William Armstrong (Lorin Raker et Arthur Uttry), et tout le deuxième acte se déroule dans la maison des frères dans le New Jersey.
